Qaraglukh (Armenian: Քարագլուխ, meaning: top of a stone) is a village in South Caucasus. According to jurisdiction of the Artsakh Republic it belongs to Hadrut district of NKR. According to jurisdiction of Azerbaijan, it belongs to Hocavend Rayonu of Azerbaijan. According to population census of 1989, Qaraglukh was officail name for the Armenian populated village in Hadrut district of NKAO in Azerbaijani SSR of Soviet Union. Name of Qaraglukh was given because of its position at the plateau of "Kachal Khut'" (Armenian: Քաչալ Խութ) mountain. The village was seriosly damaged and its population was subjected to massacres and deportation at May of 1991, as a result of so-called "passport checking operation" by Azerbaijani OMON, wich was qualified as ethnic cleansing known as "Operation Ring". There is a XVI c. Armenian church ruined in 1991 in the west of the village and Armenian cemetery desecrated in 1991 by Azeris at 1 km east to Qaraglukh. During the 2020 war Azerbaijani army backed with Turkish special forces and numerous terrorist-mercenaries groups from Pakistan, Syria, Afghanistan and Libya, captured Qaraglukh along with other parts of Hadrut district, causing death to Armenian civilians remaining there, plundered their properties and destroyed XVI c. Armenian church with remains of Armenian graveyard. After that, Qaraglukh was renamed Dashbashi (Azerbaijani: Daşbaşi, same meaning as Armenian name). Now Azeris say "this is an old Turkish village", they pretend it was settled by Armenians only in 1828. Today's Azerbaijani historiography performing political order, distorts history of the region by ripping off all Armenian related content earlier than 1828 (see Historical revisionism in Azerbaijan).
