Fuzuli or Fizuli is a rayon of Azerbaijan. It was named after the Azerbaijani poet Fuzûlî. Its capital is the town of Füzuli.

  • United Nations Security Council Resolution 874, adopted on 23 August 1993, condemned "the seizure of the district of Fizuli and of all other recently occupied areas of the Azerbaijani Republic", and demanded unconditional withdrawal of occupying forces. Fizuli rayon was occupied by the armenian military units on August 23, 1993. Due to Resolution 874 of the United Nations Security Council, these lands are considered occupied by local Armenian forces and demands immediate, complete and unconditional withdrawal of the occupying forces.
