1884_construction, war memorial
The monument was designed by Antoniy Tomishko and erected in 1883-1884. It commemorates the medical personnel that perished during the Russo-Turkish War of 1877-1878. In 1889 the area around the monument was developed as a garden by the Swiss landscape architect Daniel Neff.
