Owned for many years by the Reverend William Irvin, first Chaplain of the Seawanhaka Corinthian Yacht Club, and later by his son and two daugheters, investment banker Richard Irvin and his two sisters, Fannie and Clara. A portion of this house was once located near the current village hall and served for many years as the local school house.
