Originally Southwood Athletic Park, it was the first park dedicated for athletics. Baseball, swimming pool, fields, a skatepark, a community center, and other facilities are in this park. It was renamed in early 2013 to the Brian Bachmann Community Park, named after a constable shot and killed by a mentally disturbed man.
