USA / Texas / Mission Bend / Houston, Texas

George Bush Park is a 7800-acre recreation and nature park located in western Harris County, Texas, and occupies roughly half of the Barker Reservoir. Formerly Cullen-Barker Park, in 1997 it was renamed in honor of George H.W. Bush, the 41st President of the United States.

Most of the attractions are located along Westheimer Parkway, a major thoroughfare through the park. It hosts a large soccer field, a shooting range, and numerous pavilions, playgrounds, ponds and jogging trails.

The park also features 11.36 miles of hiking and biking trails, many surrounded by swamps, forests, and waterways. Many of the trails follow the Buffalo Bayou, and biking is popular year round.
