Batin Island

On the high shore opposite the island are the remains of the Roman castle "Sakidava". The place below it is connected with the Russo-Turkish war - 1806 - 1812. The Russians built a pontoon bridge here in 1810, in connection with the famous in Russian military history Ruschushko battle in 1811. The locals called the military events that took place here called "Batin Kavgas". The places around Batin Island are very rich in fish.
