  Very beautiful place which I have often visited in summer. Nice,vast, sandy beaches at the both ends of the island.Sometimes the strait between the island and mainland dries up completely and the island becomes a peninsula.This happens usually in August but not every year--last year(2010 ) for example it did not happen.
