1300 Market Street - 100 Penn Square East in Philadelphia, PA was designed by Daniel H. Burnham. It served as the flagship of the John Wanamaker department store empire for decades. Completed in stages from 1902-1910, 15 floors, 270 ft (82.3m), a portion was converted to offices in the 1980s as the need for gigantic urban department stores declined.

Wanamaker's stores were rebranded as Hecht's in 1995. The Center City location was again renamed Strawbridge's in 1996, Lord & Taylor in 1997 and finally Macy's in Aug 2006. Each time, the store component of the building shrank, until it closed on March 21, 2025.

The Wanamaker building is home to the world's largest still operational pipe organ and hosted an annual Christmas light show.
