Minot Wind Farm is located along US Route 83 about 15 miles (24 km) south of central Minot, North Dakota. It was commissioned in two phases: phase 1 (the 2 northwest turbines, 2002) consists of 2 Nordex N60/1300 turbines, and phase 2 (the 3 southeast turbines, 2009) consists of 3 GE Energy 1.5sle turbines. The combined nominal capacity of the 5 turbines is 7.1 MW.
