Sept. 15th, 1600. Tokugawa Ieyasu's army defeated forces lead by Ishida Mitsunari. The political aftermath ended the struggles of Japanese unification, and launched the Tokugawa shogunate which would rule Japan until the ascension of Emperor Meiji in 1868.
