Big Bear Pond (Meadville, Pennsylvania)

This small pond resides on the woodland property of Allegheny College. I'm not sure if this pond has an official name, but it was always known by locals as "Big Bear Pond". According to local legend, early settlers literally saw a big bear at the site of this pond and the name stuck. This is merely colloquial legend, but I offer it to you.
