Basically a temple town, all the activities in and around Guruvayoor are closely related to the Guruvayoorappan Temple. The town is dotted with flower and garland shops. Numerous hotels and restaurants are housed here as the town is filled with pilgrims round the year. During the major festivals of the temple, the town attracts scores of visitors.
