The house, one of the oldest preserved in the city, had two phases of construction in 14th century, transformed in the middle of the 15th and 16th centuries.
In the Middle Ages the house functioned as a leather workshop.
Present day structure resulted in the unification of two Franconia type houses, one being situated on Pielarilor Street, next to No.2.
On the southern gable one can observe the succesion of two stepped gables (14th and early 15th century).
Archaeological diggings inside the house revealed the casks in witch hides were washed, post medieval cookware, knives for processing hides, a coin dated 1430-1437.
Today is a restaurant.
