The Grand Prix World Championship began in 1950; from then on the British Grand Prix was held at the Brands Hatch track 12 times, alternating with Silverstone. In addition to the F1 World Championship, several other competitions are held here: F1 - Race of Champions, Challenge Trophy and Victory Race. Also on Toca Race Driver 1,2 & 3.
Hosted the 2012 Paralympic cycling events. The H4 event was won by Alessandro Zanardi. Yes, that Alessandro Zanardi.

  • Back in the 30s and 40s Brands Hatch was just a dirt- or grass-track. The 50s saw the circuit paved, but it was still only a one-mile kidney-shaped track. Finally, in 1960 the 2.65 mile Grand Prix circuit hosted its first major motor racing event.
  • It's also worth noting that the direction was anti clockwise when it was dirt track.
