Washington is a city in Daviess County, Indiana, United States. The population was 10,380 at the 2000 census. The city is the county seat of Daviess County. Home of the Washington Hatchets.

Washington is located at 38°39′30″N, 87°10′30″W (38.658207, -87.175111), too far west for Eastern Time.

Noteworthy Citizens
Some citizens whose origins were in Washington are Luke Zeller and Archbishop William Donald Borders, the Roman Catholic Archbishop Emeritus of Baltimore, Maryland.
