From the 1950s to 2010, this medical center provided healthcare to Spring Branch residents (the hospital saw the most growth in the 1980s). After closing under HGC Gulf Coast, it reopened in 2011 under new ownership but it closed permanently in 2012. In December 2014, demolition began on the structure. Medical office buildings nearby were separately owned and not demolished.
