Brighton Beach is a neighborhood in the New York City borough of Brooklyn, on the Coney Island peninsula. It is known as "Little Russia on the Beach" and is home to the largest Russian community in the United States of America. This area, along with neighboring Coney Island, were famously depicted in the 1978 novel "Requiem for a Dream" as well as it's 2000 film adaptation.
