Gremlin Sink was so named because some sleazebag dumped an AMC Gremlin in it. The car sat in there for many years, polluting our drinking water. On September 30, 2006, a crane was brought in and the car was hoisted out -- and lo and behold, it turned out to be a Honda Civic. Oh, well.
