"Karst Windows" is a cute name for sinks. There are a lot of sinks along these trails which wander about two miles south from this point.
Old-timers around here lament that you can't drive to sinks any more. At one time you could drive right up to several of them, but too many people driving too many cars destroyed the environment and the ambiance. For many years they were closed off altogether. Today they're open to the public, but you have to walk.
