  • Sadly, the park is no longer open for the 2007 season. Each year it becomes a question as to whether or not the appropriate funding will be there to open the place, and this year it looks as if the entire park area, including the lakefront restaurant/bar and the Hotel Conneaut are all going to remain closed.
  • Yeah, I love how this year they found out that state grant money was available for the park all these years. I hope that there's a serious shake-up in the leadership of the park committee. CLP will never be a big amusement park or anything, but it's a little gem that we've loved over the years and would not like to see die.
  • I used to go to Conneaut Lake Park all the time when I was a child. I remember having picnics in the fields around the park and riding the Blue Streak. Its a tragedy that more is not being done by the state to keep this historically relevent site open.
