Conneaut Lake is the largest natural lake in Pennsylvania and was formed by glaciers at the end of the last ice age. Due to it's natural formation, Conneaut Lake has several very deep spots that exceed 100 feet. Conneaut Lake is located a few miles west of the City of Meadville and was an important tourist destination throughout much of the 19th and 20th centuries. Today, it remains a popular location for boating and recreation.
Conneaut Lake is also the site of the once famous Conneaut Lake Park.
