  This is a great place to visit and you may well be surprised at the views afforded at the top of the butte. Most of the people you may encounter are going to be on the west side of the park close to the day use/camping areas. Head to the east side of the park for quiet and solitude. Plenty of rock hopping to be had all over. There is scarce shade to be had so be accordingly prepared. Keep in mind that this is a fee area. Parking for the day is currently $6 and rest assured THEY DO check for parking permits and will ticket anyone who does not have one.
