Ritsa (Big Ritsa) - mountain lake glacial-tectonic origin in the West Caucasus, Georgia.
Located at an altitude of 950 meters above sea level Lashipsy Valley, east of Gagra Range. Area - 1.49 sq.km., length - 2.5 km, width - up to 1,05 km. The average depth of 63 meters, the largest - 116 meters to eat oilskin and snow, seasonal fluctuations in water level is 2-3 m. The average water temperature on the surface of the lake above 10°C (from late June through October), the highest - 17,6°C (August).
From Lake Ritsa stems continued district. Lashipsy - r. Yupshara, the flow of the river and Bzyb.
Extremely picturesque lake made him one of the major tourist attractions of Abkhazia. On the shore of Lake is giving Stalin and adjacent to the Brezhnev's dacha.
