A chiefly residential area in New Orleans with a collection of historical buildings and landmarks.

Located uptown, you may also know of the Lower Garden District located on the French Quarter side of First Street. The Garden District is bounded on the river side of Magazine Street by the Irish Channel neighborhood, the upriver side of Toledano Street by the Touro neighborhood, and the lakeside of St. Charles by Central City.

The neighborhood is listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP), where it is designated a U.S. National Historic Landmark District.
