USCG Station Jacksonville Beach is a major station in the US Coast Guard's 7th District, and is the homeport for Sector Jacksonville and several cutter units and an Aids to Navigation Team.
Sector Jacksonville is responsible for an Area of Responsibility of 40,000 square miles of ocean and inland waterways, including 190 miles of coastline stretching from King’s Bay, GA to Port Malabar, FL, 10 inlets which provide safe passage to inland waterways, 248 miles of the Intracoastal Waterway, 161 miles of the St. John's River and the marshes, creeks and tributaries therein.
