island, interesting place
This area is where the dredged bottom of the St. John's River was deposited. In the 1970's, explorers could find very large shark's teeth, some fossilized, in the sandy areas. Until it was fenced-off and patrolled, this site was also used by high school students, mainly from Sandalwood Jr.-Sr. High for nighttime keg parties.
