Awesome beach.

This year Stephen Leatherman, known as Dr. Beach from Florida International University and director of the university’s Laboratory for Coastal Research, named Siesta Key’s beach as the second-best in the nation. (Hanalei Bay on Kauai, Hawaii, was first.)

Visitor information from the local chamber of commerce is at siestakeychamber.com. Another source of information is simplysiestakey.com.

Been comming here for the past 10yrs! The white sand is some of the best in the world!! Usually stay at Sea Crest Apts thats close to the point of rocks. Try staying for the Suncoast Offshore races...its like indy car racing but on the water. If you start to feel hungry be sure to try the Ole Salty Dog, The Daquri Deck, and Phillipi Creek! For good late night entertainment go to Captian Kurt's!
