Chatham railway station is the busiest station serving the Medway towns. The station gives its name to the Chatham Main Line which it is located on.

Predictably enough, it was a vital stop on the London, Chatham and Dover railway, but was never a big station. The station consists of 2 platforms located in a deep cutting, with the line entering the station at either ends using tunnels. It is served by trains to London Victoria, London Bridge via Dartford and Woolwich, Ramsgate and Dover.
