Midwood is a neighborhood in the New York City borough of Brooklyn, nestled quietly between Flatbush, Gravesend and Sheepshead Bay. It typically stretches from Ocean Parkway to Nostrand Ave (East to West) and about Ave H to Ave U (North to South). It's population is mostly Jewish and Russian. Midwood is home to two of Brooklyn's best hospitals. Beth Israel Medical Center (3201 Kings Highway) and Community Hospital (2525 Kings Highway). The "Kings Highway Strip" stretching from Coney Island Ave to Ocean Ave is home to Brooklyn's second largest Russian neighborhood.
