2-story Federal/Greek-revival meeting house completed in 1861. Designed by Charles T. Bunting for the Hicksite Quakers, the building accompanied a 3-story seminary in the same style, connected to the north. Both buildings are clad in red brick. The low, end gable above the entrance porch facing Rutherford Place has a bisected lunette window in it, below which is the datestone. The raking cornice of the gable meets simple side cornices with plain wood fascia boards below them, reminiscent of those of the Greek Revival period.

The brick Meeting House and Seminary are characterized by pedimented entrance porches, double-hung muntined sash with plain sills and lintels, low, gabled roofs, and simple roof cornices above shallow wood fascias. The stately pedimented porch of the Meeting House is supported on four columns.
