6-story (including raised basement) Italianate townhouse originally completed in 1856 as part of a row of four houses. Erected for developers Thomas Norton & David Morehead, it is clad in brownstone. The facade was heavily altered in the early 1900s, but restored in 2015 to regain its original appearance, with a new stoop, parlor-floor entrance, window enframements, and roof cornice.
The basement level was extended outward, but the renovation restored it to its original flush position, with two segmental-arched windows to the left of the stoop, which has a basement entry below it. The stoop's handrailings, fencing in front of the house, and railings on a shallow balcony fronting the parlor floor all feature the same ornamental pattern in the black ironwork. Atop the high stoop, the new round-arched parlor-floor entrance has paneled black wooden double-doors and a fanlight, with large acanthus-leaf brackets carrying a cornice on top that is surmounted by a small shield, scrollwork, and leafy fronds. To the left are two tall parlor-floor windows.
The upper floors have three bays of single-windows, growing shorter at each floor. At all floors the windows are segmental-arched, with black wooden framing, and molded surrounds with bracketed sills. The facade is once again crowned by a black metal roof cornice with scrolled brackets.
