village, interesting place
The Lawrences, DH and Frieda, lived here for approximately a year and a half during the Great War. The village is only a few minutes' walk from the coastal cliffs and Zennor Head, and figures in the Cornish legend of the lad Mathew and the mermaid Morveren.
