3-story (plus raised basement) Italianate/Gothic-revival townhouse completed in the 1850s as a mirror image to the house to the west. They are clad in brownstone with adjoining stoops with iron handrails leading to parlor-floor entrances with paneled wood-and-glass double-doors framed by paneled pilasters. The two entries share a porch roof with lacy and intricate Italianate wrought-ironwork. There are two tall parlor windows to the side, with basement windows below with iron grilles. The upper floors have three bays of single-windows that originally had Gothic eyebrow lintels, but these were removed from No. 237. The facade is crowned by a bracketed black metal roof cornice.

By 1893 the townhouse was converted to a rooming house, and today it is divided into a 2-family townhouse.
