Built in 1914, the Holly Street Fire Station was the first in Nashville to house motorized fire vehicles. It is the oldest fire station in Nashville still used for its original purpose. In red brick, neoclassical style, it was designed by the city's first municipal architect, James Yeaman, and has recently been renovated.

  • i really hate to see this part off my family's history be altered or destroyed. This was my grand-father,s fire hall -Chief Jesse Atwell Scruggs. there's a commemorative engine there named for him, and since he died long before my birth, it offers a connection to family history and heritage I would love to be able to share visually with my children, and they with theirs.
