Ras Dashen is the highest mountain in Ethiopia, and part of the Semien Mountains. Its' elevation reaches 4,550 meters (14,928 ft). Dejen and Beyeda are alternate names used to call Ras Dashen. The word Semien means north, and the Semien Mountains include all the Mountains around these two gigantic mountains: Ras Dashen and Janamora.

Note that, the boundaries of Ras Dashen Mountain is not limited to its' summit, and the
outlined or the highlighted area as a whole is alternatively called Ras Dashen, Dejen or Beyeda.

Beyeda (Ras Dashen) is also considered a Woreda (district), and the boundaries of the district includes Meshahe Valley which is not a part of the mountain. Thus, the highlighted area (polygon) shows only the mountain , but not the district as a whole.
