d'Orsay Condominium (New York City, New York)

USA / New Jersey / Hoboken / New York City, New York / West 14th Street, 211
 condominium, Modern (architecture)

140-foot, 11-story modernist residential building completed in 2018. Designed by Goldstein, Hill & West for Adellco, it is clad in black metal and distinctive orange Roman bricks. The selected materials are meant to tie the building in to the industrial heritage of the neighborhood as a one-time manufacturing center. Between the end piers the ground floor has black metal piers and four bays, three of which have glass double-doors below a suspended metal canopy and black metal louvers with a geometric pattern.

Above, the center pier is black metal, while the other four are brick, with horizontal bands lining them. The four bays of multi-pane, industrial windows form a grid of large squares with intermediary mullions. The middle two bays are recessed with glass railings in front on the 3rd & 4th floors, and there are black metal spandrel panels between floors. There is a setback above the 6th floor. On the top floors, the two middle bays are joined together into a wider one, and the end piers are give way to windows that wrap around the corners. There is another setback above the 10th floor except for at the east end bay.

The building contains 21 condominium units.
