The new Audience Hall, or Council Chamber, intended for the royal audience, was designed between 1911 and 1914 (being the last intervention in the architecture of the castle during the lifetime of King Charles I) and decorated with 14 different wood essences, a terracotta stove in Swiss green, stained glass windows, pictures.
