10-storey apartment block, which is named for the historic Love Loan (a lane which once upon a time connected North Frederick Street to Rottenrow, and disappeared sometime in the 1960s during the slum clearances). It occupies the former site of John Street Power Station and the old Martha Street registry office which was demolished in 2014.
The new Love Loan now runs much farther south than the original (which ran to the north of St Pauls Church - roughly where the Strathclyde University Centre stands today), running behind the AC Hotel and Old Parish Halls.
