A large police academy near the village of Dasht-e-Top, this has been the site of several Taliban attacks during the 2010s and early 2020s including one that was repulsed by Afghan security forces on 7 November 2017 and another on 3 July 2021 that finally overran the academy during the collapse of the Afghan government in the summer of 2021.
