The portrait figure of the mayor Mihail Koloni (1817 - 1893) is made of bronze by the sculptor Zhivko Donchev. Mihail Coloni is one of the most important figures in the municipal government of Varna. A revivalist who actively supported the national liberation struggle, a public figure with European culture and scope, a merchant devoted to charity. During his mayoralty the Cathedral was completed, the building of the school "St. Kliment Ohridski".
