9-story modernist university building completed in 1959. Designed by DeYoung & Moscowitz, it was the first building on the campus of the Fashion Institute of Technology. It houses academic and specialized classrooms, cutting and sewing labs, design studios, a multimedia foreign languages lab, knitting labs, and the Morris W. and Fannie B. Haft Theater.

The north and south facades are clad in brown aluminum in a textured diamond pattern meant to resemble fabric, provided by Alcoa. The 2-story base forms a recessed arcade along the full width of the building, with the upper floors supported by white stone piers. Behind the piers, the base is clad in a glass-and-metal curtain wall. The upper floors, in the unique aluminum skin, have 18 bays of 2-over-2 windows in gold-tinted aluminum square frames. The top floor is set back from the lower roof line, clad in a curtain wall of glass and metal.
