5-story Italianate cooperative-apartment building completed in 1853 for Charles C. Nevers and family. The Nevers remained in No. 354 through 1884 after which time the house was acquired by Jacob Sharp and his wife, and then was sold to Lizzie Porter in 1888, who operated it as a boarding house, selling it to Georgette de K. Fahnestock in 1901.

In 1928 the stoop was removed and the entrance moved to sidewalk level. The house was given a coating of beige stucco in 2009. The rusticated ground floor has its entrance on the right, with a projecting surround and cornice. To the left are two single-windows. The upper floors have three bays of single-windows with bracketed sills and molded lintels. The 5th floor has shorter windows, and there are some air-conditioning vents cut at the 3rd & 4th floors. The facade is crowned by a black metal roof cornice with brackets and panels, topped by a metal railing.

The building was converted to a co-op in 1973, with 13 apartments.
