In 1914 Jacob and Henry Dorabas incorporated Disco Electric Starter Company to make automobile ignition and lighting systems. Two years later it erected a new 28,000 sq. ft. factory to triple output, however, by 1918 the company was bankrupt. At that time, a new company, Disco Electric Manufacturing was incorporated to make starters for Ford automobiles. In 1924 the company ceased business.
