Site of Michigan Copper & Brass 587'x186' wire and tube mill constructed in 1906. The company was originally organized by persons associated with the Detroit Stove manufacturing industry including George Barbour to provide copper and brass for stove ornaments. The property was acquired by Revere Copper and Brass in the 1920s. The facility melted scrap and virgin copper into cakes which were fabricated into copper bearings. The plant closed and all the equipment was removed in 1985 and the property was transferred to the City of Detroit Community Economic Development Department.
