“Plavala” is a protected site with Ordinance No.РД-1187 from 19.04.1976 by the Ministry of Forestry and Environmental Protection.
With area of ​​28.1 ha, and in 2003 it was re-categorized as a protected site with the same name and area. It is a natural habitat of the plant Licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra). Its locality is located on the land of the town of Nikopol. It is also called licorice, licorice or licorice. The plant is a member of the legume family and reaches a height of 1 m.
