‘Yang So-yu‘ is a reincarnated character of 'Seong-jin' in heaven that is thrown into the human world. One day, Seong-jin, one of Saint Yukg-wan's great disciples, goes to the Dragon King of Dongjeong Lake, by request of his teacher, and drinks alcohol. On the way home, he shares physical pleasure with 8 fairies and offends his teacher. Finally, he is reincarnated into Yang So-yu in human world by the teacher.

Yang So-yu excels in both education and martial arts while growing up, and becomes a war hero in the country, after passing the state examination. He takes the 8 fairies who are reincarnated into the human world as his wife and concubines. He lives in honor and wealth while becoming a prime minister. However, when he meets Saint Yukg-wan again, he realizes the vanity of human life and attains spiritual enlightenment. Waking up from the dream, he becomes Seong-jin again.
