The peak of Mangunsan is where the U.S. B24 bomber called "Lucky Lady II" crashed in the early morning of August 8, 1945, killing all 11 crew members on board. The Memorial Hall for the U.S. Airmen Killed In Action During World War II commemorating these 11 airmen is found in the Town of Namhae.
