Geumsan, or Geum Mountain.

A legend says Yi Seong-gye, a general in Goryeo Dynasty, prayed to a mountain god to be king promising that if the wish came true, he would cover the whole mountain with silk. When he became the first king of the Joseon Dynasty, King Taejo, he actually could not cover the mountain with silk he so instead changed the name of the mountain to Geumsan (silk mountain).

Namhae's Geumsan is the only mountain within Hallyeo National Maritime Park to have craggy ridge lines and gorgeous rocky surfaces. Designated as Gyeongsangnam-do's Natural Monument #39. The mountain also features a trail that spans eight ridgelines that you can access from Idong-myeon Bokgok Entrance, and there is also Sangju Beach to the south.
