"Blue Dream, Blue Youth" Sculpture (Mokpo City)

The "Blue Dream, Blue Youth" Sculpture is by Park Sang Ho erected on October 1, 1997.

The bronze sculpture, made of an alloy of copper and tin, has a width of 10.4m/34ft, length of 13.5m/44ft, and a height of 20m/65ft.

This sculpture is a symbolic structure erected to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the opening of the second port of Mokpo, reflecting the pride of the people of Mokpo.

The Bronze statue of five people represents great expectations for Mokpo's future.

The central part of the statue contains a symbol of a ship with an anchor.

The bow, reaching out in all four directions, symbolizes Mokpo's international development.
